TLDR: happy with my customized lamp that no longer looks like poop. However, the globe I got from the cannibalized lamp I bought (to take the chrome base) is super cloudy. Do I send it back to Amazon and just keep repeating this cycle until I get a clear one :(

Long Text:

for those who haven’t been following:

\-bought secondhand lamp: clear liquid, purple wax, iridescent black base

\-thought clear liquid was boring, dyed water chartreuse bc ooo cool, thought it would be cool

\-violet wax seen through green water looks very brown (I swear in person the colors are VERY DIFFERENT)

\-unsatisfied, called it “poop lamp”

\-NOW: purchased additional lamp (blue liquid, pink wax, chrome base) to play swapsies and gave our “olive” globe to our chrome base to make a “martini” (like the olive in a martini) lamp and put the blue/pink globe on our iridescent base

RESULT: extremely happy with “poop lamp” aka my Son, who is now the “martini lamp” NOT the “poop lamp.”

HOWEVER: the globe on the blue/pink arrived cloudy.

Do I play Amazon-chicken and keep returning it until I get a clear one or is there another solution (that does not cost much money / does not require a mad scientist lab)

POOP LAMP UPDATE + cloudy liquid??
