Do mini boards actually work and how do i get the hang of this?

Question

I got a Tynee mini 3 max recently, never rode an electric skateboard before but i figured i used to skate a lot back in the day so i'd pick this up pretty quickly.

Definitely overstepped my skill level and starting to understand why typical electric skateboards are so much longer than normal ones.

I've now bought some protective pads after shaving some skin off some of my hand and elbow, looking to give this thing another attempt but am getting pretty terrified of it.

Right now my main issue is the insane torque / acceleration. Going at consistent speed is fine but even at level 1 if i max out the throttle there's so much forward acceleration at my feet and my body wants to topple over.

I've actively tried to counter this by

  1. Going as wide a stance as possible to brace for this, if i have my back foot on the tail though this also causes a wheelie effect at times so i can't place that foot that far back

  2. I'm crouching during the acceleration to lower my COG and trying to lean my weight forward

Despite all of this it almost feels like I'm physics bound not sure how to explain it but i couldnt figure out a way to just max the throttle on level 1 without falling off or even half throttle. I have to like barely move it and just slowly build up speed

Anyone have any advice?
