Is it normal to feel uncomfortable with nudity in shows when watching with a partner? Do people set boundaries around this? F24 M24

Hi everyone,

I’ve been wondering how other people handle watching TV shows or movies with their partner that include explicit nudity (especially female nudity).

I find myself feeling quite uncomfortable and awkward when scenes come up that clearly show the female body, particularly breasts, while I’m watching with my boyfriend. It’s not that I think nudity is “wrong,” but I feel very uneasy and self-conscious in those moments, especially knowing he is seeing it too.

It makes me feel uncomfortable, even though I know it’s just part of the show.

Because of this, I’ve started avoiding certain shows altogether, even if I’d otherwise enjoy them.

I’m curious:

Do other people set boundaries around watching explicit nudity together?

Or do most couples just deal with the discomfort and treat it as normal?

Would really appreciate hearing different perspectives on how people handle this in relationships.
