any way to send files through internet but not ftp?

i got my xbox set up in a place where i cant connect it directly to my pc but it can still be connected to the router. i cant get the router to send out wifi either, if it did then ftp would prob work. so xbox has a internet connection, and pc too but they arent on the same network connection, is there a way to transfer files with this setup?
