My right joycon has severe input lag and randomly disconnects, but only at my friend's house.

I know this sounds weird, but when I’m using my joycons outside of handheld mode, the right one will have really bad input lag before completely disconnecting, but this seems to happen only at my friend's house. Other joycons work no issue, and these joycons were recently replaced by Nintendo. The console itself is slightly behind the TV, but as I’ve said, no other joycons are affected. Any idea why this could be happening?
