R1T delivery this morning!!!

💬 Discussion

...except they cancelled my delivery last night at about 8pm when my delivery was scheduled for 11 this morning. I didn't even want to pick the truck up this early, I was expecting delivery in late June or early July, but Rivian pushed the earlier date. They stressed me out with text reminders to get all my docs done or my delivery would be delayed. They had me sign the financials yesterday afternoon or my delivery might be delayed. I moved my schedule around, put friends off, asked for time off work to get all this done during banking hours. And they bumped my appointment. I don't even have this truck yet and Rivian is already coming off as TOXIC to me. I have to drive 3 hours to get to the service center and they've helped me not at all. If the Fresno center is any indicator or what's to come, I'll be cancelling all future Rivian purchases. I'll give them one more chance, then I'm done. I don't even have the truck and this is already the worst purchase experience I've ever had with any vehicle. I'm comparing this with Honda/Toyota/Kia. It's like paying for a top tear restaurant and being treated like you're in a crowded McDonalds and lucky if you get anything at all. They claimed "we ran into some short handed staffing that I was hoping to get filled in time." - meaning they knew they didn't have the ability to do the job and failed, but felt fine wasting my time and money - yes money - to try and comply with their early delievery date they couldn't keep. I requested they pay for a rental car to their facility - I don't expect anything. If I get this truck now, it better be soooo good that I forget all of this. End of rant.
