Padded road trip?

So i am a guy going on a road trip very soon and was wondering a few things for you guys that have done road trips padded.

so i have some xl goodnites, the xl rascles overnight pants, and i have small fitrights. and i was wondering how all these diapers would hold up in the road trip and if they would start to stink. i will not be the one driving. ooh and would it be better to layer the diapers and if so what order!

thank you guys
