Seller wanting item sooner

I have a customer who ordered something that i need to send out by the 17th. I gave them a heads up Id try to send it out the 15th or 16th. They are saying they are upset because they are leaving the country the 18th and needed it sooner. Should I ask them to cancel or ship the item? I just dont want to get caught with sending it and having a problem.
