iPhone 11 unresponsive area of screen help

So basically an area of the screen is not responsive to touch and is affecting my typing, swiping, etc. I couldn’t really find any concrete information about how to go about this situation other than replace the whole lcd screen which is probably what I’ll do but I’ve also heard that this problem can be a sign of the flat cables being damaged. I’m just looking for advice on anyone that’s experienced this before or is an expert on this stuff just to confirm that a screen replacement is all I’ll need before I order the parts. Also to those that have replaced their screen not through apple care does losing True Tone and the other stuff make a noticeable difference? Thanks in advance.
