Help
I am preparing for USMLE Step 1 and am planning to take the exam around July 2026. I would appreciate your guidance during my final month of preparation.
My NBME history is:
NBME 24 (Offline) — November 21, 2025 — 50% (baseline)
Worked on weak points then took
NBME 25 (Offline) — December 26, 2025 — 57%
February i went back to steps
Attempted nbme 23 in February to see where i was. Scored 61%
A week later took nbme 26 scored 58%.
Here i realized i needed to go back and study and do more uworld so i stopped nbmes went back to FA and uworld incorrects
April 4, i attempted Nbme 22 to see where i was at now. I scored 65% (offline)
April 24, NBME 27 (Offline) — Late April 2026 — 70.5%
Then in may i had some stressors and busy schedules so i was extremely burnt out. When i did nbme 28 i wasnt focused i pushed myself to do it just for the sake of not wasting my day off.
NBME 28 (on coursology ) — Early May 2026 — 55%
I tackled the burn out, went back to uwrold and my incorrects
Recognized some of my patterns
NBME 29 (coursology) June 3, 2026 — 68%
I feel that my biggest challenge currently is not content review but confidence, test-taking consistency, and anxiety regarding readiness. I tend to overthink my scores and sometimes struggle to objectively assess my progress.
My goal for the next month is to maximize my chances of passing Step 1. I would appreciate an honest assessment of my readiness, identification of any weaknesses in my preparation strategy, and guidance on what I should focus on during the remaining weeks.
I dont want to burn the remaining nbme’s and free 120 yet i am doing some content revision as i feel like im forgetting everything
My next nbme will be on june 20th
But how should i proceed moving forward
I feel stuck
