"Rapid, Durable Remisssion in Refractory EoE With Dupilumab" (Research)
"Dupilumab delivered rapid and sustained clinical, histologic, and endoscopic remission among children and adults with treatment-refractory eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), according to findings from a large, multicenter, retrospective cohort study published in Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Results showed that more than 90% of patients achieved composite remission by week 24, with rates approaching 98% by week 72."
“Importantly, the majority of patients had previously been treated with PPIs ([proton pump inhibitors] (94%) and TCS ([topical corticosteroids] 86.2%), with high nonresponse rates of 96.8% and 92.4%, respectively, highlighting that dupilumab was effective even in a population largely refractory to conventional therapies,” noted study author Edoardo V.
