Loosing feeling during sex

I have always had a high sex drive and I have masturbated alot in my life. During sex as a top, I don't really feel much on my penis. Ive never went without a condom yet tho. But I feel it when I touch myself and give myself strong orgasms on my own. Never was able to orgasm with a guy. I've never had a real connection with the people ive had sex with tho. Thoughts anyone?
