Fiber supplement leading up to surgery

I (22M, 5’10”, 200 lbs) am having a septoplasty done in 13 days. Yesterday I had a telehealth visit with an RN from the anesthesiology department and she told me no vitamins or supplements in the 2 weeks leading up to surgery. That included my fiber supplement. The only issue is, it accounts for ~25% of my daily fiber intake. So stopping it so suddenly would do a big number on my digestive system. And I looked it up and apparently a fiber supplement isn’t a huge deal leading up to surgery. It’s Metamucil if that matters. I was just curious if it really is imperative that I stop taking it until I get the surgery done
