How do you verify the Holy Spirit's influence as opposed to influence from something else?

Question

And before you say "I just intuitively know" that's not really a solid answer. I get that the nature of spirituality will always mean a level of faith, a level of trust, and a level of feeling rather than thinking but that raises the question of OTHER faiths with trust in OTHER paradigms and THEIR feelings towards religion.

Even just taking into account Christianity it's not like people of OTHER denominations don't also believe the Holy Spirit descends upon THEIR followers in particular.

In my case I haven't ever felt the Holy Spirit. If I have I somehow didn't recognize it as such.

Not that I don't believe in God but I believe that sapience is the closest thing we have to an imparted divine influence.

I've read nontrinitarian interpretations of Christianity focused around Wisdom or Logos as the realest form of the Spirit of God in the sense that all humans carry an intrinsic ability to know God that's just clouded by illusions and desires.

Which makes more sense at least to me than God picking and choosing who to descend upon.

But let me know what you think.
