opinions on Sony Cybershot Dsc T500?

my beloved Kodak EasyShare c340 has given up on me, and so I am on the hunt for a new camera. I’m considering buying a T500, as I’m looking for better quality and a more durable purchase, so I was wondering if anyone had one and could comment? I‘ve understood they’re cheaper (typically) than a t99, which I prefer aesthetically, but honestly at the end of the day, I’m looking for a camera that will take nice photos of my holidays this summer, and any parties I go to. would it be worth saving up for the t99, or just buying the t500 now??
