If Carolina has no "superstars" and are in the Stanley Cup, how did they not win the Jack Adams or the Jim Gregory?

If they team has no superstars like people say, and everyone just plays "as a team", then why is Rod a Jack Adams contender? Or why isn't yulsku holding the Jim Gregory? Isn't it the best example of a true "team"?
