Why has having pride for America become a political opinion?

I just like America, not the current president, not the current administration, not the system, I just love my country. I feel a lot of pride and joy for it. So why is me liking the country I live in and feeling prideful for it considered a political opinion and automatically makes me a magaite? People in other countries have pride for their nation all the time, but they don’t get hate for it. I just don’t understand it.
