Lyra gets really hot when idling

Is this expected?
I got my Lyra today, and it's a beautiful piece of tech. However, I noticed it gets hot immediately after I plug it in, even if the computer is turned off.
To top that, it gets even hotter as soon as I turn it on, like almost cant touch it hot. The mount gets hot too, to the point I wonder if it will damage the LEDs of the monitor it sits on.

Anyone had the same experience, or did I get a dud?
