The new printing facility won't actually do anything.
The Pokémon Company prints cards at max capacity and they sell out in minutes, because everyone knows that these aren't just cards - they're a means to an end. The amount of money being made in this market is WAY too good for people to just stop doing it, many livelihoods and lavish lifestyles rely on cards to be expensive on the secondary market.
\
The market operates like a religion - people pay $250+ for brand new boxes and $80+ for ETBs because they believe they can only go up. The more people believe this, the more buyers. Bearish sentiment is usually met with public shaming on social media, as bears are treated like non-believers of a religion. Widespread belief creates self-fulfilling prophecy; if everyone believes it, it becomes truth. Now, the market has become established enough that very wealthy people and companies are parking huge amounts of money into cards.
\
Which brings me to my point about the new printing facility: with the amount of money in the market, do you honestly believe that doubling printing capacity will be enough to bring prices down to consumer product tier? Absolutely not. You'd be amazed at how many people spend 5, 6, even 7 figures on cards on a regular basis. No amount of "overprinting" will change this.
