Can information states be transferred across the Universe faster than the speed of light?

I am trying to think of a way to change the universe faster than the speed of life, but I am dumb and have only a basic understanding of physics. What I do have is a large TV I call the SuperFast TV. It has infinite pixels, so for simplicity's sake I take the two most diagonal pixels, one red, one green. These pixels are connected by one wire each and eventually these two wires merge into one wire that is attached to a button. When I press the button a signal travelling the speed of light is sent through the wire that bifurcates and reaches both pixels at the same time, switching the red pixel to green, and the green pixel to red, instantenously. Have I sent some sort of information faster than the speed of light?
