How long do AIOs last? Just booted up my pc that I thought went to sleep but got hit with a "CPU Over Temp, hit F1 to go into bios". As soon as Bios popped up it said cpu was at 127C. I immediately pulled off the glass and felt the hoses, didn't feel anything, ...
...turned it off, researched and the the 127c is just a max temp binary thing and not an accurate number, a sensor that isn't getting a signal, or a faulty sensor or aio is going out. So I turned it back on to check the pump again and it is working fine, can feel water flowing in the tubes, typing on it now with a 48c temp on a 9800x3d. I looked up how long its been since I purchased the aio, it was oct 2020. I've worked for comp repair shops, installed dozens of these, but this is my first personal aio, but have never heard or experienced what the signs are on a dying pump. Do they just straight up die in the middle of nowhere, is this a sign where it just starts failing here and there but keeps kicking on until it just fails completely. Luckily guessing it hit critical temp and the mobo shut itself down, but hell I live in hell and it is getting hot in the SW and this room does too but I doubt ambient room temp pushed it to its limits. TUF GAMING B650E-E WIFI if that helps, a couple bios behind but not updating it until I get your opinions. What is your experience losing a pump?
