Variable Zoom issue.

Has anyone else encountered a problem with certain scopes? The scope I typically use has been locked and it now says I have to unlock it by leveling up the Shadow again. It was still equipped to my gun but wouldn't zoom at all. When I swapped scopes to see if it was just an issue with that specific one is when I noticed it got locked on me. The one I swapped for also would not zoom ×3 to ×7.
