ADHD and Google Health
Hi all,
I have ADHD and use methylphenidate as medication and with the new Google Health app, I wanted to try it out to see if it can help me with understanding my body more.
Seems okay so far but I asked it to calculate my base metabolic rate after a week of gathering data via my watch and it seems to think I burn about 5000 kcal a day!
I am an overweight, sedentary office worker. My exercise is dog walks.
I believe what's happening is that due to my medication, my base heart rate even under a tiny amount of stress is very high, and therefore it's calculating my cardio load as essentially someone who's really quite athletic (I wish).
I just wanted to ask if anyone else had similar experiences and if anyone had figured out a way to get the readings more accurate. I've been talking to the AI Coach but because it can't change settings for me and even suggests changing things I can't, I'm not finding it as useful as I hoped.
