How can I transform and experience lasting union with God?
Conceptually, I’ve grasped the underlying truth of oneness with God and all that is. I’ve had those mystical glimpses which confirm it beyond a shadow of a doubt. And I’ve listened to the teachers, mystics, and masters that point to it, further confirming it.
But it’s undeniable that the transformation is far, far beyond conceptual. Beyond, beneath, behind, between. I find myself ebbing and flowing with the seasons of life and varying degrees of pursuit of this transformational experience of lasting union.
I’m a “householder”. 38M, Married, 2 young kids, stressful job. My most accounts externally most would think to me as a “normal” guy. Unless we get into 5+ minutes beyond small talk, ha.
Anyways, I’m in the mode again of pursuing this union through a mystical Christian lens. Particularly I find myself drawn to the influence of James Finley.
So - I’d love any and all thoughts or suggestions that I (or others like me) could explore to deepen the abiding realization and experience of union with God.
