SCURRILOUS: Does anyone remember the story behind the album art?

I'm wondering about the art used for Scurrilous. Was it painted by a grandparent of one of the band members? I can't remember well and I would like to dig up some PTH history!

Also, does anyone know if a digital file of the original painting can be found somewhere? I'd love to use parts of it for a tattoo I'm considering to get.
