India to start manufacturing E100 Vehicles (100% Ethanol-compatible) flex fuel vehicles

💬 Discussion

In our normal petrol vehicles we can't use E100 fuel. We can only use E20. It requires specially designed flex-fuel vehicles; Countries like Brazil have that & we are soon going behind that.

It's main purpose is to reduce India's crude oil imports and improve energy security. This is very good as we reduce dependence on imported petroleum. (Especially during war times)

It also lowers vehicle emissions (lower greenhouse gas) than petrol as it's a renewable fuel.

It will increase demand for ethanol made from sugarcane, maize, and other crops, supporting farmers. It boosts biofuel industry & rural industry.

Ofcourse EV is long future but it needs more R&D in battery technology. But this E100 is immediate future.
