I have used being my parents star child to my advantage
I (18m) am the golden child to my parents. I have two older brothers who aren’t as good as me at… well, anything. They are both shorter than my dad (who is 6’4) and unathletic whereas I am 6’8 and have always been talented at sports. I have been accepted to study abroad at one of the best schools in the world where as they got decent grades at best and pursued education my parents thought was unworthy.
Since I was younger I’ve known had to twist my success and genetic wins to my advantage. I have consistently got the most out of my parents, knowing my siblings might be left out or left short because of it.
Is this bad? Very likely, but I have also worked very hard to be where I am and am willing to accept as much help from my parents to get to where I need to be as I can.
