Analysis of fault regarding the missing legos
Yeah, I think this post might get a lot of hate, but I just wanted to make it because I don't think anyone is really talking about the full picture. There are some uncomfortable things that people don't want to acknowledge, but I think it's worth stating it all and having a conversation about what my perspective on the truth is.
The person who came out the worst from Coffeezilla's video isn't Josh and Brandon, and in my opinion, it’s not even corporate. It’s actually Crystal and Ben. Now, that might be a controversial statement, but here is the thing: corporate's lies and misdirections were somewhat proven to be true. And even if we assume the maximum amount of malicious intent, the vast majority of the Legos are actually accounted for, and the person who holds that responsibility is unfortunately Crystal.
Even if you think, and I do too, that Josh and Brandon took the missing Legos, let's say $10,000 to $20,000 worth, unfortunately, even that direct malicious act isn't equivalent to Crystal's long-term negligence. We can provably see there are several tens of thousands of dollars attributed to the point of sale system and this weird layaway setup. Regardless, the actual data on their sales matches that final sheet. Whatever she's logging them in as, that is being recorded as a sale. That means that money is being ingested by the point of sale system. Her entire story of people putting a lot of stuff on layaway doesn't actually hold up logically to how the POS system works and how the books operate.
I don't want to assume malicious intent, but it's either that or extreme negligence and financial irresponsibility on Crystal's part—which, check's notes, lines up with what corporate was saying.
Now, I'm not making this post to bootlick corporate. I think they made a lot of terrible, bad decisions and completely shot themselves in the foot; they will have a lot more hell to pay than Crystal could ever hope to. That being said, this weird misrepresentation of the truth has been bothering me because I think Coffee basically proved that there was a lot of fault on Crystal. We can talk about the cops and we can talk about the Bricks & Minifigs company, but I think ultimately, in this specific situation, Crystal and Ben actually hold the biggest amount of responsibility for why specifically Bryan Mansell did not get paid out for his Legos. I think if you want to find who's responsible for the legos being missing you actually have to look at the person who sold 80% of them.
Pre post edit: I'm just going to pre acknowledge that Josh and Brandon / BAM morally very obviously come out of this situation the worst. This post is specifically about the missing legos.
