In 1999, Spurs won its first championship in MSG. Now, 27 years later, Knicks won its third championship in Frost Bank Center. It somehow like a revenge in 1999 Finals. Also, the result of 2026 Finals is similar in 1999 Finals where the eventual champions tool 2 games then opposing team won game 3 then they took 2 games and win the chip on the road.

The results:

1999
Game 1: **Spurs won**
Game 2: **Spurs won**
Game 3: **Knicks won**
Game 4: **Spurs won**
Game 5: **Spurs won**

2026
Game 1: **Knicks won**
Game 2: **Knicks won**
Game 3: **Spurs won**
Game 4: **Knicks won**
Game 5: **Knicks won**

From all the sacrifices and doubt from this Knicks team were went away and went to a dominant run and achieve what they needed for 53 years. Jalen deserve this Finals MVP for what he did and came out at a deciding game. KAT, OG, Mikel, Hart and the bench also deserve their flowers where they played their role and saw their camaraderie in the dominant playoff run. The 16-3 run is special where nobody saw. Kudos to you, Knicks team
