The Final Shape question?

I am returning after 3 or so years and bought the new bundle, did the Lightfall and Renegades campaigns and was getting around decent upgrades up to 385-393 lvl drops at end, I am now doing The Final Shape on Legendary over 3/4 done but I am hardly getting any rewards at end of missions, 2 chests and very occasionally a 385-386 weapon/armor drop. Not one piece a higher lvl then before I started TFS. Any ideas why I am not getting higher lvl loot? Thanks for any help!
