Can I Say I've Achieved FIRE? A Look at My Journey to Organic Farming

Hi

Hello fellow FIRE enthusiasts! I'm reaching out from Tier 1 city to share my financial situation and get your thoughts on whether I've hit the Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE) milestone. My goal is to transition to organic fruit farming in a village, leveraging my current investments for the initial setup and reserving funds for my children's future.

My family consists of my wife, our two children aged 12 and 7, and myself. Our current monthly expenses are 60k. I anticipate these expenses will reduce to around 30k per month once we settle in the village.

Here's a breakdown of my net worth:

\* Total Net Worth: 5 CR

\* Mutual Funds: 1 CR

\* Farming Land: 2 CR

\* Restricted Stock Units (RSU): 30 lacs

\* Provident Fund (PF): 35 lacs

\* Gold: 40 lacs

\* National Pension System (NPS): 10 lacs

\* Flat: 2 CR (with an outstanding loan of 70 lacs)

The FIRE movement emphasizes aggressive saving and investing to build enough wealth to cover living expenses without traditional employment. A common benchmark for FIRE is having a portfolio equivalent to 25 times your annual expenses, allowing for a 4% annual withdrawal rate.

Considering my plans to significantly reduce monthly expenses and my diverse investment portfolio, I'm optimistic about this next chapter. I'd love to hear your insights on whether, by these metrics and my aspirations, I can confidently say I have achieved FIRE.?

please provide your valuable suggestions
