Hello - I work in restoration and recently I had a house that is exposed to asbestos due to another restoration company opening up the floors and leaving the vinyl exposed right by the air vent.

The house now tested positive in EVERY area from top to bottom all three stories. The top where the vinyl was exposed is of course higher , but downstairs still tested positive.

According to our standards I would have to discard every textile in this house but I wanted to get opinions as there’s so many soft goods throughout the house I’d end up filling two to three dumpsters on just that.

What would you do? Is it right to throw away soft goods even from the rooms testing lower? The barbed fibers has me like ?? Absolutely ?? But I am also conflicted because the family doesn’t want to throw away all their beautiful items and start over.
