Will I like the Dark Tower series if I didn’t like Salems Lot?

I know, very hot take. I’m not a fan of vampire stories and so I figured that I might not like Salems Lot, which ended up happening.

But, besides that I have loved 11 other books by King and can’t wait to read more. I know that everyone seems to absolutely love the Dark Tower, so I’m very intrigued, but I’m also known to not like dark fantasy or western stories… Which makes me think the same could happen as what happened with Salems Lot for me. Would you still recommend it then?

In the same vein, I wonder this about The Stand. Would love your opinions!
