My thoughts about Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Resynched
For a long time, I have definitely heard and been aware of the upcoming remake of the beloved installment from this franchise. But I actually haven't watched the pre-release footage of the game until today, kind of late to the party. So therefore, I would like to point out some of my thoughts.
1/ Improved environment and world:
The environment is immensely improved from Anvil 2.0.
The vegetation is greatly increased, some of the footage I felt like the world is much bigger than it used to be, plus with the lightning it creates a much bigger depth impression than the original version. Not to mention with the improved technology, in-world interior is now considered a thing, giving a bigger creative potential for the dev in level designing.
If the map turns out to be actually larger, I'd hype it, no second thought.
2/ Bloodshed and combat
The combat system inherited from the recent previous installment, which create something that doesn't fit well with me, "the screen-shake". Every hit they tried to make it impactful, and what's the simpliest way to do it is adding the "Screenshake". This backfired, for someone who used to the combat system of the III - Rogue era, the change would make me really dizzy and hard to focus on who would attack you. Perhaps this so far the only issue I have.
But, BUT, there's blood. In the original game, blood are only presented under particle and animation and that's it. But in this one, there's blood, pool of blood actually present on the ground, and that does really impess me a lot.
So far, do I like this game? It's too soon to conclude that but I'm sure as hell I would look forward this game when it is released.
