Strava telling me to buy new running shoes at 800km... do I?

Question

I’ve been getting email notifications from Strava reminding me I have ran 800km on my ASICS Novablast 5 shoes, which I got last December. My runs are generally 10km long and I mainly run on cement footpaths.

However, the shoes still feels okay, the dark rubber layer on the bottom is still intact, and the heal is still fine. Even the stack height is the same as when I got them, with the same compression when I squash the heal manually. Do I get a new pair, or stick with these for now? I’ve been running for years, and it seems like this 800km limit only entered discussion recently… is it nonsense?

The shoes don’t even smell that bad yet.
