i love my mom but she acts so bitchy

my name is Isabella and im 16 years old, here's a little background of everything :

my parents separated when i was 5 years old, i have an older brother whos 3 years older than me and a half sister (mom's) whos only 18 months of age.

i dont remember much of my childhood. my dad owned a local business and my mom was working as a midwife. we had our own home and had everything we needed, life back then was happy, until my mom cheated. when they separated my mom moved back to grandmas place and brought me and my brother with her. my dad went back to his hometown searching for a job after giving all the business earnings to my mom

the cheating issue was scandalously patched up, i only found out about the truth around a year ago. my moms side of the family had always claimed that my father was the one who cheated, and since i lived there for most of my life, it was all i ever heard.

i felt mad when i found out, i remember so vividly how my dad would give me a meal and flowers everytime i visited my moms workplace so i could hand them over to her. to think that he was still willing to rekindle the relationship even after she cheated was just heartbreaking, and even now, over 10 years later, i still cry just thinking about it

timeskip to 3 years ago, my dad made A LOT of effort to return in our city so he could be with me and my brother. by this time he has already given up on bringing back the complete family we once had.

he sold the entire property we owned (not the one we lived in when we were still complete) he used the money to start a new business and rent a house in the city we were residing in so that me and my brother could be under his care while attending school. we were with him 5 days a week, and honestly, the living conditions were so much better compared to mom's place

my mom has a bunch of loans, shes impulsive when it comes to spending, and sometimes it no longer feels like she cares that much about us anymore. we had to move back at her place in my 3rd year of highschool because my dad had to tend to the business he built which was in a different city. and let me tell you, i absolutely hated the place.

ever since having my half sister, i became somewhat of a nanny. as a female, i was much more expected to take care of her when my mom was busy cooking or working at home. it doesn't seem like a big deal but with each day passing by i grew tired that i couldn't even allocate time for my studies anymore considering how stressed i was from school alone. looking back now, my life for that one year was absolutely terrible, im surprised i never got admitted to a hospital.

a typical school day would start at 6am and id be home by 6pm. i go through the day only eating snacks because meals were out of my budget, my allowance was only enough to cover fares for an entire week. by the time my mom comes home with my sister, she asks me to look after her for awhile. so instead of taking a nap or resting for even just a bit, i end up using the last of my energy to watch over her. then i would do my schoolwork, id finish around 2-3am. with the remaining 3 hours i wash up and get as much sleep as i can.

it was physically and mentally exhausting. the only thing the kept my head up were my friends and my brother who was always there. i dont rant about it because that kind of attention doesn't sit right with me, especially with people i know in real life. but they were the only ones who could bring a smile on my face from time to time. despite going through a breakup and having my grades drop in that year, im glad my optimism helped me survive

now im starting my 4th year, still with my mom because i have to finish my final year in the same school, but there have been some improvements

cons: my brother had to move at dad's for college

my mom still acts bitchy about me having to care for my sister

food stock is unstable, my mom doesn't go grocery shopping consistently, only goes when food is really low

pros: i finally have a study table in my room, last year i had to sit on the floor and use my bed

whenever my dad visits the city, he takes me grocery shopping for my own stock of food at home

overall a pretty good school environment, i have friends and teachers who I can rely on, but at the same time im trying to make every moment count because its the final year with all of them

i need advice on how to move forward from here. the biggest issue i have is my sister.

dont get me wrong, i love her very much. but she's becoming a huge problem for me and i dont want to go back to my lifestyle in 3rd year. I don't understand why my mom wanted to have a baby NOW, we are still struggling financially and her dad doesn't even show up at home to care for her instead of me. i know my mom still meets up with him, sometimes shed go out at night to meet him while i take care of THEIR child. it feels unfair, he should be in my place, i dont know what his problem is, maybe he doesn't want to meet the family or maybe he wasn't serious about starting a family with my mom, but what i know is i shouldn't be the one taking up his responsibilities as a father.

sometimes i have to bite my tongue when my mom scolds me when i complain about taking care of her. but for goodness sake cant her dad step up, i hate being dragged into this because it affects my schooling and mental health. i just wish she'd hear me for once.

whenever an accident happens like my sister slips or falls off a chair im always the one getting blamed and scolded. i acknowledge that it was wrong of me to be careless, but cant she understand the only times accidents happen are when i am mentally exhausted to the point where i dont have the capacity to protect her or look after her without fail.

please help me, im drained and I don't know how to confront her about this. shes very headstrong and stubborn, if anything I don't even want to confront her at all, I just know for sure she would never understand my side
