ZG's royal genes kicked in. She wants to go to the mall!

I was at the Metro Cat Rescue fundraiser store when I spotted a cat out of the corner of my eye. Since almost wherever I am there are cats, that didn't immediately register. Because the door of the shop is open to a street with heavy traffic, that's the one place where cats are not housed. I went over to the newcomer. She was nervous, but docile, though she became agitated when placed in a carrier.

I suspect ZG's appearance was neither miracle nor coincidence and that she'd been abandoned at the door.

Brought to where the other rescues are kept, ZG remained upset and would only eat small amounts of especially tempting foods. For some days, she wouldn't leave the top shelf of the cat playpen. Her towel bedding had to be changed at least once a day. As the weeks went by, ZG settled in. It soon became obvious that ZG was going to be a mom.

Metro Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3). Donations, gifts, and bequests are US tax deductible. You can also check if your employer has a corporate matching gift program.
