Part Two: The Countdown

Day 1 – The Warning Becomes Reality

Kelly Morgan reports that crops around the world are failing.

Food shortages begin to spread. Governments urge calm while scientists search desperately for answers. Nobody understands why healthy farmland is dying.

Fear begins to take root.

Nine days remained.

Day 2 – Poisoned Waters

Reports emerge that major water supplies have been tampered with.

Officials insist the situation is under control.

Some admit the water may cause illness, but urge the public not to panic.

Meanwhile, tensions between NATO and Russia continue to escalate.

Government agents question the mysterious man.

"Tell us what's coming."

"I don't know what's coming," he replies.

"I just know it's terrible."

"And whatever's happening now... it'll be worse."

Eight days remained.

---

Day 3 – Civil Unrest

Food shortages worsen.

The water supply is declared unsafe.

Riots erupt across the globe.

Looting.

Murder.

Arson.

Cities descend into chaos as trust in governments collapses.

Kelly reports:

"The public is left in the dark."

Seven days remained.

---

Day 4 – War and Release

Russia deploys salted nuclear weapons against NATO forces.

The explosions kill millions.

The true horror follows.

Radiation spreads through entire regions, rendering them uninhabitable.

NATO vows to continue the fight.

The President addresses the nation.

"This country has faced many challenges."

"The one coming next is the toughest."

"You will pray."

"Not for this country."

"You will pray for your families."

"For the ones you love."

"May God bless America."

"May God have mercy on us all."

Kelly returns home.

She breaks down in tears.

Her daughter asks:

"Are you scared, Mom?"

"No, sweetie."

"You don't have to worry about anything."

Kelly holds her daughter and prays for the first time in years.

Not for herself.

For her child.

In Heaven, Gabriel pleads:

"Please forgive them."

"Please have mercy."

The Father replies:

"I have given them mercy over and over again."

"No more."

He turns to Michael.

"It's time."

Michael descends into the depths.

He finds Leviathan bound.

"Your Father is the only one who can stop me."

Michael releases the ancient beast.

"It's been millennia since I've been free."

Six days remained.

Day 5 – The Sea Awakens

Breaking news interrupts regular programming.

Massive earthquakes measuring up to 9.5 strike cities across the world.

Scientists cannot explain them.

Coastal evacuations are ordered.

Tsunamis crash into shorelines.

Entire cities disappear beneath the waves.

Ocean temperatures begin rising rapidly.

Scientists detect an enormous orange heat signature beneath the sea.

It's moving.

Its destination:

Antarctica.

The object emerges.

Leviathan rises from the deep for the first time in millennia.

He takes a deep breath.

"It's been a long time."

Then another.

He unleashes fire hotter than the surface of the sun.

Ancient Antarctic ice transforms instantly into steam.

The world watches in horror.

Kelly stares at satellite images.

"It's hard to describe what I'm even looking at."

"What is it?"

Scientists realize the truth.

The steam released over Antarctica has entered the atmosphere.

Rain begins falling.

Across every nation.

Across every continent.

It falls on churches.

Refugee camps.

Palaces.

Ruins.

The innocent.

The guilty.

Leviathan stands upon shattered ice.

He loves the sea because it is his home.

He melts Antarctica not simply to destroy humanity, but to reclaim the deep.

The oceans begin to rise.

The rain continues.

And it will not stop until Day Ten.

Michael watches.

Leviathan turns toward him.

"You do not fear me."

"No."

"If my Father commanded it," Michael says, "I would draw my sword."

"And I would defeat you."

Leviathan nods.

"I know."

Neither doubts who holds ultimate authority.

The rain falls through the night.

Five days remained.
