Is my piercer's cleaning/aftercare correct?
Hello, everyone! I got 2 earlobe piercings on each side (4 total) roughly 2 weeks ago. All 4 pieces of jewelry are titanium labrets.
The aftercare sheet I was sent home with advised me to clean my piercings twice a day by soaking non-woven gauze in saline spray and wiping around the area to remove crust before spraying and drying as normal. I've been doing as advised and the piercings seem kind of irritated and a little painful when cleaning.
I've read online that the best method is to just spray, dry, and not touch it at all beyond that. Should I try doing that routine instead of what my piercer recommended? I fear I'm causing damage or elongating the healing process with what I'm doing now. Thanks!
