My socks are wearing out too fast and replacing them every few months adds up

[Request]

This is partly a diabetes problem and partly a frugal problem. I need decent quality socks because regular ones mess with my circulation and feet but the so called "diabetic" socks I've been buying don't even last 6 months before the elastic goes or the heel starts thinning out.

I'm spending probably $80-100 a year just on socks, which doesn't sound like much until you think about how it's literally just covering my feet for like 8 hours a day. I want to find a pair I can buy and not think about for at least a year.

What's the actual durability champion in the diabetic sock world? I'm willing to spend more upfront if I genuinely get more wear out of them per dollar.
