If something happened to your family would you take the child in?

DISCUSSION

Hi,

So I am very much childfree and never plan to have kids. But my questions is more regarding a 'what if' scenario as I just dealt with a client in this situation and I have seen it as a popular trope in stories.

So those who have nephews and nieces or any other type of young kids in the family, and not a lot of family to help out, if something happened would you take the child in?

If no, why not?
If yes, why?

Is it different if its a family member compared to adopting a strange child?

As a childfree person, how would this make you feel?
