Idea for a Psychic Specialist

This has been floating around my brain for a while now and I wanted to share it

So y'know how basically every official Psychic Specialist sans Tulip has psychic powers? Well, what if there was a Psychic Specialist who was really into psychic powers? Like he's really really really *really* into psychic powers and outer space, but he doesn't actually have psychic powers, so he's constantly trying to develop his own with... very little success.

His passion for psychics and outer space stems from his hometown of Anistar, the city with an enigmatic device that supposedly came from outer space.

His main Pokémon would definitely be a Golduck, given it legitimately has psychic powers but isn't Psychic-Type, kinda like how this Trainer wants to be a psychic but isn't.

If you want more finer details about the Trainer themselves beyond the concept and backstory ideas (like what his name is, how old he is, his personality, full team, etc), I'd be happy to share—I'm not doing it on the post itself because I wanna know what people think of the idea.
