Meeting new people 40s-50s in real life

Looking for ways to connect to people in their 40s-50s, I am single but NOT esp looking to date, more interested in making friends, especially other singles. I am an empty nester and most I know are couples and only do things with other couples. Do you know of any
good civic or other clubs, women's groups, activity groups, church groups with activity/volunteering focus? I enjoy being outdoors but also reading, volunteering, travel, dancing, among other things. TIA
