I’m scared to text this person I’ve never texted before

I have never texted them before. I need to tell them something important, but in person we have made things awkward between us. So texting them would probably be weird af. I have to text them. I just can’t figure out how to word things at first message. I can’t bring my self to send anything because it feels scary af for some reasons
