Dropper admission: Is a "fresh" Character Certificate (under 6 months) mandatory for document verification?

Hi everyone, I’m a dropper aiming for DU admission this year. I have my original Class 12 Character Certificate, but it’s more than 6 months old.

​For those who joined as droppers recently, did your college administration strictly insist on a newly issued certificate, or did they accept the original one from your school? Also, if they did require a new one, did your school have any issues issuing it for an ex-student?

​Any advice on whether I should prioritize getting a new one or if the original is sufficient would be a huge help. Thanks!"
