Will USMLE be worth the investment?

Hi everyone, I’m an IMG currently working in the UK and midway through my MRCP exams to try to get into higher specialty training here. Chances aren’t the best for IMGs now but I’m doing what I need to do anyway. My husband is a green card holder and should get his passport sometime next year, after which he will be able to apply for my green card. I will be staying in the UK to get my british passport (in 3 yrs) and should have a green card by that time as well or about to get one. I will then be around 6-7 years postgrad which I know is not the greatest. If I do not manage to get into training here, would it be worth investing in the whole USMLE journey from scratch as a US IMG who would be 6-7 yrs post grad (no clinical gaps)? I would like to get into pathology residency.
