Purchasing a first time cat, need general advice.

Good evening from Korea! I intend to purchase a kitten soon, and I would appreciate some general advice on raising one as a first time cat. I've been wanting a cat since I was younger, and I'm able to get one at 15 sooner.

I know cats should mainly eat wet food rather than dry, as the latter often leads to dehydration given my research. They require several liter boxes (ideally one per cat plus one extra.) They also need regular checkups, vaccinations, and toys to stay active and happy.

That's basically the extent of my knowledge at the moment, but I'm willing to get more advice and tips to take care of my cat.
