I am a 34 yo/f/approx 61in 135lbs. History of re-occuring eyelid swelling. First 5 photos are in a 6 hr time frame. 6th photo is 14 hrs later with some mild swelling. And last photo is normal eyelid without any symptoms 

Every so often, I will get eye lid swelling on either eye that turns red, itchy and is incredibly uncomfortable and painful. My eye starts watering, the sclera becomes inflamed and mucous-y? and it takes 24-48 hrs to go down. I treat with refresh eyedrops and oral benadryl. 

I've assumed its just an allergic reaction to pollen/dander but im not sure what this is called. Is it contact dermatitis? Just allergies? I usually notice the itchiness and mild swelling starting the day prior, then it rapidly intensifies the following day around 12-24 hrs later and becomes its worst for a few hours (6-8 hrs) then slowly starts to calm down again. And for the next week-2 weeks the skin on my eyelid is extremely dry sensitive and flakey.

I'm not sure what i can do to help recover faster. This is sometimes accompanied by nasal allergy symptoms (sneezing, runny nose etc) but sometimes it occurs independent of any other allergy symptoms. Is there a topical ointment i should use to treat the eyelid skin after? Something i should avoid? I usually only treat the eyelid skin with Vaseline or aquaphor after its calmed down. I dont use any other skincare on my eyelids.
