Am I seeing things wrong in the game?

I've played HSR recently​ for some time now and before I even played the game, I was expecting to see some sort of justifications of the ship​s happening in the game, like scenes that gave the reason for their ships.

But then when I played the game, I was... confused. Real confused.

For example, we had the Kafka x Himeko stuff. I was curious to how much conversations they have to be shipped like that, and then when I played the game, I was like 'Wait what, that's it? I thought there is more?', and then I played the game further and I found... none.

This dilemma continues through the game from Belobog to Xianzhou Luofu. We got the Dan Heng X Blade, which weirded me out because 'They're enemies. Why are they shipped?' Of course, I read the lore and found why, but even so I thought 'Wait, that's why? But isn't that just what best friends do?', ditto for Jing Yuan either.

I reached Penacony and it continues through AcheSwan, AvenRatio, Jade X Topaz, and...RobinxFirefly? These ships were so prevalent and popular, yet when I saw the reasons, I was like 'What?'. Acheron and Black Swan were literally just allies, and Black Swan was doing her best to not get involved in her too much. AvenRatio, which reminds me of some of my fellas in college, talk shit to each other but doing our best​ to get the other succeed. Jade? Isn't she older than Topaz? Robin and Firefly... Firefly liked some of her songs, Robin... Did she even knew about Firefly​?

Sorry for this very, very bad English. My point is that I played the game corrupted by the views of the internet, and managed to awaken as I play it and realize that some things doesn't add up, so... Did I have the right mindset to play the game?
