Fedora vs. Debian for a Low-Spec Setup (2-core/6GB RAM) - Need Expert Advice.

Support

I am currently planning to set up a stable environment for Web Development and Cybersecurity learning. My hardware is a bit old (Intel 2-core CPU, 6GB RAM, 110GB SSD).

I'm torn between Debian 13 (Trixie) and Fedora.

My concern with Debian is whether it's 'too old' for modern web development tools, and if I’ll struggle with getting the latest versions of stuff.

My concern with Fedora is its resource usage (DNF, overhead) on such limited hardware.

I am looking for a reliable, 'set it and forget it' system that doesn't bloat my resources. For those who have used both on similar hardware, what’s the real-world performance difference? And how do you handle tool versions (Node/Python/Docker) effectively on both? Thanks in advance.
